If you are up for some history, check out Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, James Madison's Montpelier, and The Rotunda and Grounds at University of Virginia in Charlottesville. At any time, the Historic Downtown Pedestrian Mall invites you to amazing restaurants and cafes, fun boutique shopping, theater and many live music venues.
The Charlottesville area offers a whole experience perfect for a weekend or longer. If you are feeling active and adventurous, it is possible to hike from our door up to the Appalachian Trail and Skyline Drive, and horseback riding through a winery. If you need to go higher, hot air balloon rides over this beautiful area are offered locally.
