Fridays After Five on the Downtown Mall
Live music, beautiful views, and of course All You Can Eat Crab! Tickets are now on sale at Restoration! Live music by The Renee Ruth Band! Menu includes all you can eat blue crab, red bliss potatoes, house mac n' cheese, sweet potato- bacon hushpuppies and corn on the cob. Tickets are limited. Join naturalist Jerry Therrien on a tour of the summer happenings with plants at the Saunders-Monticello Trail Arboretum. The Arboretum contains around 200 different varieties of native plants of Albemarle County. Learn different aspects of the native flora, including the edible varieties that are fruiting as summer wanes.

There are 11 participating farms — some returning hosts, and some new ones in the mix — and all are looking forward to showing off their farms in 2015. The races are a bi-annual event. The spring race is held the last Saturday in April. The spring race attracts a more vivacious crowd, with over 25,000 guests in attendance. The fall race, known as "Family Day" is held on the last Sunday in September and appeals to families and a more subdued crowd. The fall race hosts a variety of activities for children and families.
