Lodging Adjacent to the Shenandoah National Park
In 1905, the Wood family built their charming family home on a 70-acre tract of land on the banks of the Moorman River in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Charlottesville, VA. That friendly structure now provides additional guest accommodations for the Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm bed and breakfast. We completely renovated the Farmhouse in 1995 and in following years made additional improvements, including adding central air conditioning to make it comfortable and enjoyable for our guests who would be staying there.
In addition to their comfortable bedrooms, our guests enjoy a large sitting room where TV and reading materials are available. Complimentary hot and cold beverages are offered near the guestrooms. In the Main Inn, just a two-minute walk across the adjoining lawns, we serve a full country breakfast to all guests.
Our guests find that the Farmhouse has a very comfortable, cozy, and romantic experience. It is almost impossible to resist settling into the old swing on the front porch for a relaxing pause.
In addition to our three standard guestrooms in the original part of the Farmhouse (the Hummingbird, Butterfly, Garden Rooms), our premier guestroom, the Shenandoah Suite, is nearby. The Shenandoah Suite is a new addition to the Farmhouse and is a romantic cottage-like accommodation. It is our only suite with a private deck and private entrance, and it is totally separate from the other Farmhouse guestrooms.
