Hello from Sugar Hollow! We are Tim and Dina, your hosts at The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm. My parents, and your friends, Dick and Hayden Cabell established this bed and breakfast back in 1995 and are now finally retiring after a long tenure. Dina and I are delighted to be able to keep our business in the family and we are looking forward to many years of innkeeping in our future! You will still see Hayden gardening and baking and Dick watching over the office on occasion so you will have a chance to stay in touch with them!
Just a little about ourselves... Having been raised outside of Chicago, Illinois and Buffalo, New York, I attended Penn State University and after graduation began a high school teaching career in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. While still in my 20's I moved into the Information Technology field with EDS and then Hewlett-Packard. In late 2012, I began my apprenticeship as an innkeeper at The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm.
Dina and I were married in 2013 and this is her story...
Dina was raised in Riga, Latvia where she lived and studied Economics until moving to the United States in 1993 after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Dina quickly earned her U.S. citizenship and then completed a degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University. Shortly after, she earned her Veterinary Technician license and has worked in the field as Veterinary Tech for over 8 years. Dina somehow always manages to balance her Vet Tech career and love of animals with her innkeeping. When we decided to introduce our pet friendly rooms, it was Dina's idea all the way and we very glad for it!
We are so glad to be living in the Charlottesville area with all there is to see and do. The mountains, the music, the food, the wine, and great people is all we could ever ask for.
We especially thank our wonderful guests for making innkeepers a great experience so far and we hope to see you all soon!
